New Year’s Eve Cheese Board

How do you like to ring in the New Year? What about creating a New Year’s Eve Cheese Board this year? Or maybe you need a pre-NYE party appetizer for you and your special someone. This is perfect for that too.

New Year’s Eve Cheese Board

Before you even start putting your board together, you should think about the environment it will be served in. For this board, I imagine serving it in a dimly lit room with the fireplace lit and the wind howling outside. It’s New Year’s Eve so it must be cold.

This board should definitely be served with a little champagne, perfect for a pre-NYE party.

What’s Inside

  • Triple Cream Brie
  • White Cheddar
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Cranberries
  • Blackberries
  • Walnuts
  • Cashews
  • Almonds
  • Cheese Sticks
  • Melba Toast
  • Water Crackers

Brie always goes well with champagne so this is the first place to start when planning an NYE cheese plate. I then added the white cheddar and mozzarella to keep with the white theme. The cranberries and blackberries have bold colors that definitely stand out for this board. These rest pair perfectly with the cheese.

Notes

  • Don’t forget to add utensils to this board. If you are dressed up, you want to have easy access to the food.
  • Since you are serving whole walnuts, you will need a nutcracker. But there is something so satisfying about cracking a walnut.
  • If you don’t have champagne, a nice chardonnay works perfectly.

Remember to always have fun with your cheese boards. A New Year’s Eve party is the perfect time to take some chances and try new cheeses and charcuterie. I also love the idea of a themed drink for an NYE party. Have fun and Happy New Year.
